Community Leadership Form
Thank you for your interest in becoming a community leader in the NWA Voice.
We will use this page to answer some common questions about what is involved in becoming a community leader and how the NWA Voice will be used to help you use your leadership skills.
The purpose of the NWA Voice is to give every person a voice in the community. We will do this by engaging a variety of communities in NWA.
WHAT IS A COMMUNITY?
A community is a group of people who share common interests, opinions and values. These values and opinions can be centered around almost anything. Pets, sports, food, religion are all some common communities. While your community will be specific to your niche, we need to be sure these communities are kid-friendly and open to anyone.
WHAT KIND OF PERSON IS A GOOD FIT FOR THIS POSITION?
We are not particularly interested in any certain background or education to be a good fit as a community leader. If you have an education or background in leadership, this is a plus, but not a requirement.
Mostly the kind of person that would be a good fit here is a natural born leader or one that has passion for your community. If you like working with others on a community project, then this job might be a good fit for you.
If you are looking for a regular income or don’t work well with people with different views, this is not a good fit for you.
DO I HAVE TO WRITE ARTICLES?
No! While there will opportunities to write articles/posts for your community, this is not required. They, the people in your community, will be the ones sharing content for the magazine through the Russellville Voice Home page @ www.buddytribe.com/arkansas/nwa.
WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A COMMUNITY LEADER?
As a community leader, you will engage your respective community. You will decide what the community is and what it consists of. Then you will engage your community with the content that your community prefers to engage with.
This can be articles, posts, photos, videos, polls and more. As the leader of your community, you will decide how best to support them.
HOW WILL WE ENGAGE THIS COMMUNITY?
We would engage this community with events, speakers, workshops, conferences, a marketplace and more on a regular (daily/weekly/monthly) basis. You will communicate with your community through social media groups and the printed magazine/newsletter.
WHO WILL BE PART OF THIS COMMUNITY?
Membership in your community will consist of the following member types. Be sure to seek out these kinds of members.
1) Members of the public that have an interest in your community.
2) Businesses that engage your community through products and services.
3) Experts that will act as a educational resource for the other members of your community.
A note about experts. These can be members of the public, businesses and even yourself. Anybody with personal or professional knowledge about something related to your community.
HOW WILL YOU COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR COMMUNITY?
You will communicate with your community, starting with social media groups, a homepage on buddytribe.com, a newsletter and a section in our printed magazine/newsletter.
REASONS FOR A PRINT PUBLICATION
A printed magazine/newsletter will:
1) Unify the community by giving everyone in your community something to be proud of.
