Message from the Chief

On behalf of the men and women of the Russellville Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our official website. Our goal is to provide our community with as much information as possible about their police department and the programs and services we provide to our visitors and citizens. It is my honor and privilege to serve as the Chief of Police and represent all members of this department who are dedicated to professionalism, safety, and community relations.

As of 2020, the Russellville Police Department includes fifty-seven authorized sworn officers and six civilian personnel. The command staff includes three Captains who oversee the following divisions: Patrol Operations, Criminal Investigations, and Administration. The operational components in each division are supervised by a lieutenant and sergeant. Because of our great working relationship with the Russellville School District, we have school resource officers assigned to both the Russellville High and Junior High schools. We recently added two canine officers and a crime suppression unit which enhances our operational capabilities. As a department, we continuously strive to research and implement programs that enhance our ability to provide professional law enforcement services that are in line with our mission.

The Russellville Police Department is dedicated to reaching the highest standards of professionalism through the use of the most current policies, procedures, training, and technology. Our team works hard to maintain a level of excellence, which is exhibited by our state accreditation through the Arkansas Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ALEAP). Beyond responding to calls for service, traffic enforcement, and criminal investigations, we take an active role in engaging with our community by participating in mentoring programs, signature community events such as the RussVegas Half Marathon, Downtown Fall Fest, and numerous other events that allow such positive interaction.

We value our community partnerships and strive to achieve cooperation, trust, and the confidence of those we serve. The men and women of the Russellville Police Department work hard each day to fulfill this mission. Thank you for your interest in our website, and I encourage you to visit each page to learn more about our department and the resources that may be of interest to you. If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our department.
